JOHN HAWLEY

I am a 19 year old college freshman based out of Gilbert AZ. Through my design work I aim to provoke thought and question establishment. My childhood in Utah and being apart of the Mormon Church plays a large role in who I am. In a religious community, I was met with hate and scrutiny for the way I dressed and looked, at just 12 years old. This intolerance drove me to push the envelope of what is considered acceptable, and it all changed when I discovered Fashion in my sophomore year (Trying to impress a girl). Here I discovered my passion and the element in which I want to bring change. JOHN seeks to push the envelope, to make outcasts feel accepted, to dispel the hate I have always felt towards myself.
